Leeds Teaching NHS Trust is one of the largest acute trusts in the UK, with 17,000 staff and a £1.3bn spend. The Trust is responsible for providing hospital and specialist services across seven sites and additionally host the Yorkshire Nightingale Hospital.

Leeds Teaching NHS Trust are at the forefront of this development and are a key partner in developing the new Leeds Innovation District – in collaboration with University of Leeds, Leeds Beckett University and Leeds City Council.
Leeds is central to the Government’s Health Infrastructure Plan, which will provide £600m+ investment in two state of the art hospitals – a new Leeds General Infirmary and Leeds Children’s Hospital. This will ensure that Leeds remains a renowned centre for specialist services with modern environmentally sustainable sites.

Band 8D – £75,914 – £87,754 per annum
This newly created post represents a unique opportunity in the regional NHS procurement market, with a senior role within one of the most established and respected Procurement Departments in the NHS.
The Associate Director will play a key role in the continued success of the Trust, during an exciting period of development and investment. There will be a clearly defined progression route to Director level (Band 9), which will provide a platform for the successful candidate to influence the national NHS procurement agenda.
Key responsibilities will include;
•Development of Trust wide sourcing strategies for non-pay spend of £200m p.a. including Capital Programmes and ongoing revenue budgets
•Provide expert sourcing direction and influence strategy across the Trust
•Provide leadership to a large established Procurement Team and ensure that management and recruitment policy follow The Leeds Way values
•Lead and manage delivery of bespoke major transformational change projects
