The Trust was formed on the 1 December 2016 with 5 primary schools and has grown by 1 school in October 2022. We are looking at significant growth of the Trust in the coming months and years so this is an exciting time for the organisation and the person appointed as he/she will be pivotal in the planning and organisational development and growth of the Trust.
The Chief Finance Officer will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer, the central finance team and the finance and administrative staff in each of the academies to ensure that the Trust operates good financial governance in line with the requirements of the Education Funding Agency (EFA). The role will also involve liaising with the Department for Education (DfE), EFSA, HMRC, external auditors, internal audit and other external advisers, suppliers and contractors.
We are looking for someone who not only has excellent finance skills and knowledge but someone who fits our values and has a strong desire to improve the life chances of children and really believes in the power of education. A significant part of the job will be to work with and develop people so we are looking for someone who is skilled in this area too.
