“After three years working in Finance at the NHS, I joined Stoke Council in July 2024 as a Finance Business Partner within the Housing Regeneration and Operations team. I was ready for a change but wanted to remain in the public sector to continue enjoying the job satisfaction that comes from supporting our residents.

Since joining, I have gained a wealth of experience through a variety of opportunities. These have included producing a cost service analysis for the commercial portfolio, setting budgets over a five year period, and supporting the preparation of financial accounts at year end, along with the day-to-day management of budgets — a task made easier thanks to the motivated engagement of the budget managers.
