Welcome

The University of Central Lancashire is an international, multi-campus Institution that can trace its roots back to 1828.

The University is one of the UK’s largest universities with a staff and student community over 42,000. Our employment-focused course portfolio, with over 350 undergraduate programmes, nearly 200+ postgraduate courses, and a rich array of CPD courses means that students enjoy a first-class experience, alongside accessible and relevant research that makes a contribution to society.

We are proud to share that we will soon be known as the University of Lancashire. Building upon nearly 200 years of academic excellence, this exciting new chapter reflects our commitment and ambition for Lancashire and beyond. We believe in helping people to seize every opportunity to flourish in education, at work and for life. Together, we’re here to help you achieve great things. Where opportunity creates success.

Our current strategic plan runs until 2028 which will mark the university’s 200th anniversary.

We offer fantastic benefits, including a competitive salary, occupational pension scheme, generous relocation package and 30 days annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays and 4 extra discretionary days off at Christmas). Many roles offer opportunities for flexible working.

As we approach our 200th anniversary in 2028, it’s the perfect time to revisit, refine and reaffirm our mission and strategy.

We have a long and successful history of giving our students an outstanding higher education experience, enriched by real-world, practical learning opportunities and our second-to-none support services. We’re proud to offer these life-changing opportunities to everyone who can benefit from them, whatever their background or their personal circumstances.”
